I grew up listening to NPR from the backseat of my parent's car; when I started driving I adopted the habit. In high school I distinctly remember driving on a Sunday afternoon and hearing This American Life for the first time (it was the Superpowers episode) and I thought, "This is amazing, what is this??" And I was hooked on the medium of audio.
In 2014 I launched my first podcast and in 2015 launched a second. You can subscribe to both on iTunes or where ever you listen to podcasts either through your phone or computer. They make great company while you're in the car or putzing around the house. If you're interested in the logistics behind producing a podcast I shared my methods in a three-part "how to podcast" series.
THE GIRL NEXT DOOR PODCAST is a show co-hosted with my friend, next door neighbor and fellow writer and blogger Erica (and yes, we totally won the next door neighbor lottery!). On each episode we mix up a cocktail and chat honestly the way friends and next door neighbors do about life, motherhood, creativity, our latest obsessions and, of course, what's happening around the neighborhood. New episodes air every other Wednesday.
MATRIMONEY is a show co-hosted with my husband Chris all about our life, marriage and personal finances. We answer listener questions and share our adventures in trying to pay off our mortgage early and how we manage our money as we raise our family. New episodes air every other Monday (on the off weeks from The Girl Next Door Podcast).
