Personal finances isn't a topic many people bring up, even among close friends. But I think we could learn a lot from each other if we were less secretive about money. In this spirit, Chris and I are very open with our financial information. We're not financial experts by any means but we have a system that works for us and if sharing this information is helpful to even one person then I'll call that a success.
Although we feel that we live modestly we recognize that we make much more money than the average American family and significantly much more compared to families around the world. Even if our financial situation is different than yours I hope that the basic principles of making financial goals, budgeting and saving can be helpful to everyone.
