The view from my new desk
Photo Challenge // June

I love to celebrate the seasons so in this seasonal series I'll share what I'm loving and looking forward to. These are just the little ways that I'm appreciating what the season brings or ways I hope to make it special. So, let's talk about SUMMER. Hopefully these are the things that will keep my spirits up through July, August and on in to September (and let's be honest, October) until the heat breaks.

Tiny Desk Concert podcasts, I haven't heard one I don't like and sometimes Dash even does a little groove.

rhubarb hand soap, fresh air scented soy delights candles.

4th of July, for which I'll take a few days off work, plus Chris and I will fit in at least one more day date and we're thinking we might do a one-night staycation at a local resort sometime this summer.

watermelon, fruit popsicles, icy coffee monsoons from The Coffee Shop, and I think I'll definitely be making these lemon ice box cupcakes again (no oven required!) and perhaps creating a few other versions.

maxi dresses and skirts + tanks and light cotton shirts; bathing suit (loving this top).

This is Where I leave You and daydreaming of future family vacations while reading Sunset magazine.
Plus I hope you'll join Erica and me for our first Girl Next Door Book Club on July 9! We'll be reading Delancey and Wild, two great summer reads!

backyard sprinkler + popsicle time with Dashiell (toddler clothes optional); walking through shady grapevines at Agritopia after getting coffee; family adventures to Whole Foods for samples and air conditioning or to the i.d.e.a. museum on long, hot afternoons.

I'd love to know what you're enjoying and looking forward to this summer, too.

Happy SUMMER, friends!
