20 Weeks
I'll be 20 weeks through my pregnancy this week which is considered half way! I'm feeling really, really good. A complete 180 from how I was feeling in the first trimester. The second trimester really is glorious, as all the books proclaim.
My only complaint right now is how often I have to pee when working out! This morning I could only make it a couple blocks on a run and had to run home before going back out again...and even then could only make it a mile out before I couldn't take it and had to turn home. In spin class sometimes I have to take a quick break after 3 songs, it just seems crazy.
I'm also starting to look like I'm pregnant! I'm glad I bought some maternity clothes before I needed them because they're so nice to have now. I'm especially loving the full panel skinny jeans from Old Navy (they were on sale for $25!).
I'm really looking forward to the holidays coming up and having some time to work on the baby's room. We've made a little bit of progress already converting what was my office into a nursery. Even though it's sparse now I love it already and can't wait to see it come together.
On the other hand I feel like the holidays are going to make the next two months fly by. We're taking birth classes (Bradley method) and going on a hospital tour soon. Plus, knowing that we're having a boy (!!) is making this all seem more real. I feel like I keep saying that but it's true. I am continually amazed at this whole process. There's a baby (!) growing inside of me (!) and it's half me and half Chris (!). I love that I can feel our baby kick and move so often, several times a day, and in just a couple of weeks Chris should be able to feel it too, probably by Christmas!
