A Fall Craft Date

Last weekend Erica and I got our fall craft on. We're both nuts for the fall and winter seasons and enjoying them to their fullest...but it can be hard in Arizona, the land of perpetual sun and warmth. So to make the best of things we headed to Starbucks for pumpkin spice lattes (Erica got a fancy iced chai + pumpkin spice syrup, she says it's the best!) and to the craft store. If fall doesn't come to the desert, you must bring the fall yourself.

We crafted all afternoon at Erica's, amidst her lovely fall decorations, and of course had pumpkin bread for a snack. We each made an autumn felt wreath and a cloth pumpkin, they turned out so cute!

I was inspired by Erica's fall decorations and picked up some leaf garlands and mini pumpkins to bring some fall color to our front shelves. I also took note that she keeps fall scented soaps in the bathrooms and kitchens. I ordered Mrs. Meyers orange clove soaps for fall and Iowa pine soaps for the winter season. I love both scents so much and I'm thinking of ordering the dish soaps and candles to match.

In the meantime, the extra touches of fall in the house and the cooler mornings and evenings are putting me in a better mood already. It's probably even time to unpack my winter clothes and pack up my summer clothes!
