Chris and I are so so stoked. We’re having a baby! We’re going to be parents! It’s WILD and AWESOME. It’s been hard soo to keep it a secret and I’ve been dying to share the news. I told myself I wanted to have my new blog up and running before sharing so that I could just enjoy writing about pregnancy and babies without worrying about the redesign any more. I’m so glad it’s here!
I'm four months along; our baby is due in mid-April (a spring babe!). We don’t know yet if Baby Wharton is a girl or a boy but we’ll find out on November 12. I can’t wait to know!
There’s plenty to share about this journey already, from deciding we were ready as ever to be parents to getting a positive pregnancy test to my first trimester experience (which was a bit ugh). I’ve got posts lined up to share it all!
I always knew that I wanted to have a baby and be a parent one day. But the fact that it’s actually happening and Chris and I are living through it right now still catches me by surprise sometimes and I just smile to myself and think, “Wow!”. The shiny awesomeness of it hasn’t worn off and in fact, the closer we get to actually meeting our baby the more awesome it becomes. I truly could not be happier; life is good.
